Subject:
Removing "Blue" Stain From Box Elder

Barry Turner
>I have some Box Elder bowl blanks that were cut green and end-sealed. They have been in my shop for almost two years. Some of the blanks have developed a "blue" stain. I suppose this is some sort of fungus attacking the wood. Can this stain be effectively bleached out? Or, do I just have to live with it? What should I use? Oxalic Acid? Two-part wood bleach? Chlorox bleach?
