Keeping holly white - follow up

>These are the spoons (sorry no turning here) I asked about earlier in the week. I finished them with the resisthane water based lacquer as suggested, after bleaching with 2 part bleach. The bleach really did whiten up the holly, even though it was quite white already. The items here are about 22" long and carved from a single blank of 4/4 holly which is displayed below. I will be making a mahogany mount for them and they're already sold. (sweet)

As you can see - there is really no color at all that was added by the lacquer. They are as white as they were previously, and now have some protection against body oils.

Thanks for the suggestions. That stuff worked great.
