Subject:
Sorby Revolving Steb Centre -(for spindle turners)

JL
>I finally picked up one of these with a 7/8" diameter tooth pattern and a #2 MT. They do make a difference. I've had a Sorby Steb Centre for my headstock side for a while and really liked it.
The live centre for the tailstock allows me to have a minimal longitudinal pressure along the axis of the spindle. This means less flex and chatter when turning the longer, thinner spindles (I hate having to use a steady rest). If you aren't turning spindles, I don't know how much use it would be.
