I may be able to reglue the stone, but gluing up the ebony and hiding the glue line would be a problem. It's easier to start from scratch. I will start to make a new feature ring, only because I'm to stubborn to quit just yet.

This isn't the first one I've done, below you can see one that I've completed. I didn't like the feature ring on this one or the brass "cap" either. So I made a few design changes to the feature ring and changed the shape slightly.

I can save the bottom staves, which is really no big deal. I can cut and glue the parts in a few hours over the course of a day.

In case you are wondering, I used copper between each stave.
