>I was visiting in Gatlinburg TN today. I made some time and went to talk to the folks at Arrowmont. They gave me a look around.

What a great set up. All those lathes in the turning shop made me sick with envy.

I most enjoyed talking to the staff person. She was friendly and open in sharing her thoughts about the school.

I hope to attend a turning class in the next year or two. I am try to choose between Arrowmont and Campbell Folk Art. How does one decide. Does the instructor have more influence on the success of a class or does the school setup and philosiphy have a larger influence.

Anyone have experience with either.
