Cherry Burl *PIC*

>I have no idea if this is going to work or not but here goes. I tried to attach a photo but I'm not sure if I get it yet. I also want to say thank-you all for all the great information and I am trying to join in and not be such a lurker. I have learned a great deal from all of the excellent turner posting here.

I responded to Steven Antonucci's request for a wood trade and I here is the first of many new types of wood to turn.

He sent me a nice piece of Cherry Burl and I made my 3rd attempt at a hollow form and my first one with a natural edge. (I don't know how everyone gets inside that tiny hole:) The size is 6 inches tall and 3 1/2 at the widest spot. (I think the shoulder should have been higher.) It is finished with linseed oil while wet sanding, buffed and waxed.
