>This is a spalted sycamore bowl. I haven't turned anything of any consequence in years and this has its share of faults. And the pictures are ... well, the subject line says it all.

The end grainwas pretty punky, so when I was almost ready for my final cuts I did the 1/2 white glue 1/2 water thing at the suggestion of a few fine folks here. I didn't get back to it for 3 or 4 weeks. The end grain was great, but it had warped so much that I couldn't turn it an have anything left, so I power sanded, startin at 50 on th end grade, the 100 ...
