Subject:
buffing after oil, before waterlox?

Mark Wollschlager
>I am working on a natural edged oak bowl.
I have 6 or 8 thin coats of Watco on it and intend to put some Waterlox on top of that.
It is sanded to 600 and not bad ( for me ), but I wonder if a buff with tripoli and white diamond before the Waterlox would help to improve the final look of the finish.
I am not after a plastic gloss look ( been there, done that ), so I will try for a satin sheen with the Waterlox.

Anyhow, is that a reasonable plan?

Thanks,
Mark.
