Subject:
Maple Hollow Form

>Greetings all

Some of you have seen this already, on the web or in person, but here it is for anyone who hasn't and might be interested.

This is a piece of maple from an entire tree covered with this stuff, given to me by my tree guy. Apparently it was in the fence row of a neighbor's farm, and was starting to come down. He stopped by and asked if he could have the wood! It is one thing for us to stop by and ask for wood, but when we get others stopping to ask for wood for us, how can you beat that!?! But anyway...

Overall size is 6 1/2" high and 7 1/2" in diameter. It is hollowed to 3/16" most of the way down, but I left it just a little thicker in the bottom for some better rocking action. The bottom is round. It is finished with Bush Oil and buffed.

Thanks for taking a look.

And no Dominic, it is not the same tree as the one we saw growing in the other tree guy's yard. This is a different one!

Bill
