Subject:
seeking electrical advice

>This sounds logical to me. However I have only done basic wiring.

My shop is in an underpowered garage in my rented home. I have a lathe, shop smith, grinder mini late, and hand power tools. So far I have been able to get by, but I really need a dedicated circuit for my shop smith.

There is a 220 dryer outlet in the utility room. Since I donít have an electric dryer, it is not being used.

I was thinking that I could get a dryer plug & cable, wire each hot into a separate outlet and have two extra circuits to pull to the shop.

What do you think?
