Subject:
Jamison system limitations

Aage Rendalen
>I recently bought the Jamison system, and I'm having trouble getting under the shoulders of Southwestern type HFs. The back gate imposes limits on the angle of the boring bar, and for deep shoulders I've had to pull out my manual Kelton hooks to get in as deep as I want.

I've looked at the end of the boring bar cut at 45 degrees but it does not seem very promising to me.

How do the rest of you deal with these deep-shouldered vessels?
