Ed Kelle demos *PIC*

GaryG in MD
>It was a great pleasure to meet our own Ed Kelle at his demo for the Capital Area Woodturners in Alexandria, Virginia last Saturday. Ed showed us quite a bit about texturing and coloring. It was very informative, and Ed's low-key but detail-oriented style was very relaxing. Ed is the kind of guy you feel like you've known for a long time -- even if you haven't.

For anyone who is, or can be, near Rockville, MD on the evening of September 6, Ed will be coming back down to demo turning his blossom form for the Montgomery County Woodturners (see www.montgomerycountywoodturners.org for directions, etc.) I highly recommend that you come if you can. Visitors and guests are very welcome.

With this message, I will begin a series of eight photos from Saturday's CAW demo to show you what Ed is doing, if you aren't familiar with it. If you want to see more, his web site is www.kellewoodturning.com.

This first image shows Ed opening a small box highly textured on the outside but smooth and shiny on the inside -- a very nice contrast.

Thanks Ed. Looking forward to seeing you next month.
