Subject:
Ways cleaned up, Thanks

Aage Rendalen
>Thanks for the advice on cleaning the lathe ways. I tried engine oil first, since it sounded the least likely to work, and so it went. Then I tried mineral spirits and steel wool, and the gunk began coming off but not fast enough for my liking, so I ended up using DW 40 and steel wool and now my ways are clean and waxed and ready for another 16 inch cherry bowl. It's great knowing that you're there when something comes up. Thanks again.
