Subject:
Taking Credit Cards at Shows

Donna Banfield
>I had a one day show on Saturday this past weekend. Sales were so-so, considering that it was good weather. I would have expected more sales in such nice weather, but it was the first time for me doing this type of venue -- a bluegrass/fiddling championship. It was an invitation only venue for the exhibitors/vendors, and I had no competition from other woodturners/wooworkers.

All my sales that day were by credit card. They were what I would call impulse sales -- no large bowls or hollow forms. Had I not been set up to take credit cards, I would have come home with nothing to show for my efforts. Just something to consider....
