Turning Archive 2007
This is my second huge hollow form. This one went easier then the first although the elm was harder then the spalted maple do to the twisted crotch grain. I spent about 10 hours to complete. It has just one coat of Waterlox in these pictures. I will add about four more to darken and gloss it up later.
This hollow form ended up at 11-½” wide x 14” high, 2 1/4” collar x 3” base x 3/16” wall. Critiques are welcome. I think I will make some smaller ones next.
