>I have a friend who got behind on some of his commissions so I spent the day roughing out these vessels for him. I was going to do all 3 but the last on is fighting me. It was cracking while I was turning and punky in spots. It flew off the lathe once when the foot broke. I totally soaked the foot in thin CA and started over. Due to bad spots in the wood and checks that were there before I started I've had to take a good 3/4" off the overall width and of course had to shorten it in the process.

I had to take some time off to deliver some turnings to my local gallery and of course I got a bike ride in. I'm going to try to ride every day that the Tour de France rides and do the same type of ride. Much much shorter of course. I don't know If I can do it or not but I guess we'll see.
