Subject:
SKEWING

C.W.Stivison
>After all of the post last week about not liking the skew,(I didn't like it all). I decided to take the advice of some of my NBF's at WC and practice. I sharpened up my skew and I honed it this time as someone suggested, loaded a peice of 3" round stock into the lathe and I skewed and I skewed and I skewed, for an hour. The next nite I did the same thing. The skew is still not my favorite tool(that would be my new Doug Thompson detail gouge)but I am not afraid to pick it up anymore. I still don't think it would be one of the first tools I would have a begginer buy. But that's just me.
