Subject:
Real Eggs vs. the "Perfect" Egg

Brian Hahn in SW Wisconsin
>Here is an interesting exercise. Go to the refrigerator or grocery store and get a carton or two of eggs. Lay them all out and look at them carefully.

Are any two eggs the same shape?

Do any of them have that "perfect" egg shape?

None of mine were the same and none of them had that "perfect" egg shape.

So where did the idealized "perfect" shape come from?
And why do we worry about the idealized shape when chickens obviously donít.

This lesson has been presented to me in several different ways over the last couple of years.
