outboard turning- long *PIC*

>Here's a picture of the outboard turning toolrest and tailstock holder. It's only clamped on right now but it is held on by bolting a piece of 1/2 by 6 inch plate steel to the end of the lathe which is welded to the top of a 3 inch square steel tube in which a 2 and 1/2 inch steel tube can slide in or out. The vertical is a floor plate welded to a 3 inch square tube and a 2 and 1/2 tube inside for up and down adjustments. The bed is 4 inch C-channel steel with 1/2 by 1 and 1/2 welded on each side. The banjo and tailstock fit right on here so I can use the tailstock for extra support. I plan on bolting this on shortly and could use sandbags for extra weight, I've used this just clamped on and it worked very nicely.I welded a nut on the 3 inch tubes so a bolt goes through to the inner tube. Still have to paint.
