>I'm going to attempt an end-grain bowl from that mystery wood (yew...or arizona cypress...or some cedar species?) and am curious what the preferred method is for mounting this.
I'm guessing compression from the chuck onto a tennon to avoid splitting the wood, but what about before I reverse it? Will screws hold it sufficiently to the faceplate to turn the tennon? Are there any glue options for endgrain?
What's your method? What have you done that did not work?
