Suggestion re: hollowing tools

>I am a relatively new turner and enjoy turning bowls with mild to moderate narrowing of the opening, not the "extreme" hollow form work with a tiny opening. I am to improve the smoothness (before sanding) of the underside of the lip and avoid "dig ins".
I would appreciate any comments and suggestions re: the newer tools (Hunter, Rolly Munro, Supercut, Hamlet, Bosch, others).
