Huge Gloat !!! *LINK* *PIC*

>I recently turned a wooden replica of a marble column for a very expensive and beautifully elegant solid bronze reproduction telescope that friends are producing in limited quantities. They wanted a column that looked like marble, but weighed a lot less for shipment to the Chelsea Flower Show in London.

I turned the column out of Poplar (all end grain), and the faux marble paint job was done by a woman in Fitchburg, Mass. The gentleman is Russ Schliepman, who is marketing the telescope, and the woman in pink -- well, let's say she's pretty well known in Great Britian ! Russ had her audience for 5 minutes as he explained how the telescope/sundial/garden sculpture works. I'm hoping for a better photo, but wanted to post this w/out delay.

What a huge thrill to be part of something like this. I'm a happy camper.

Safe spinning,
