Subject:
Jet-1236 question

>Hi -

It's been awhile since I posted anything, but I do keep tab from time to time. Lately I've been prepping for a craft show - my first - so I've been spinning like crazy. Guess we'll find out how it goes, but win, lose or draw, I'm looking forward to it. If I get motivated, I'll share some of my planning ideas and later how it goes.

Anyway, I've got a 1236 question. Is there something that I, an electrical novice, can do to modify the 1236 to get lower speeds for sanding? The lowest the lathe goes is 500 or 550rpm, and I'm thinking that somebody out there has a really clever way to slow the lathe down further.

Thanks very much -

David B.
