Homemade Sorby Texturing Tool *PIC*

Bob Moffett
>Ed Siegel asked about a homemade texturing tool that I use. Here are some pictures of my homemade texturing tool. The shaft is 1/2" steel rod with 2 1/8" ears welded on the end. A hole was drilled through both ears and a bolt put through the hole. I got the texturing wheel from Klingspore (no affiliation) and put it on the bolt. The bolt is a little smaller than the hole in the texturing wheel so it spins freely. I had to put a washer in mine because the wheel wasn't as wide as the space between the ears. I hope the picture makes more sense. I then put a wooden handle on it.
