Subject:
Spalted Beech I *PIC*

Ronny Eelen (from Belgium)
>A kind of hefty beech bowl, 37 cm wide, 9 cm high.
Only the inside and the rim are sanded, up to 320. Once the form on the outside was final, I went over it again with the tip of the bowl gouge, no bevel rubbing. That gave me the effect I wanted; a view and feel of rough turned wood. For this I also had to slow down the rpm, because the first try was still too smooth.

The piece is finished with 2 coats of Danish Oil.

I appreciate your comments and critiques.

Ronny
