Subject:
Thin walled Apple bowl *PIC*

Leo Van Der Loo
>Turned this Crab Apple bowl thin and let it warp, I thought it might split on me as it had bark inclusion on one end and wind shake/twist split on the other end, so I wrapped some reinforced shipping tape around the edge, don't know if that helped, but it stayed together.
Sanding the warped bowl was of course a job and a half, added some CA to the bark inclusion, and am still contemplating if I should stitch some brass wire in there.
I like turning Apple wood, but it can be a little temperamentfull.
It's approx. 11"X4"
