Subject:
Rowley's grinder jig

>This morning I build the toolrest jig described in
Rowley's turning book. It called for a toolrest height
of 5 1/4 inches (slidable and at a variable angle).

When I located this next to my new 8" grinder, It seemed
very low.

So my question to all the experts out there, is where on
the grinding wheel should you be contacting: 2'oclock, 3'oclock
or 4'oclock. Then given the desired grinding angle, I can
figure out a good height for the tool rest.

Thanks

Patrick
