3 Green Wood Walnut Vases *PIC*

>I just quickly took a photos of these, they are headed for the Gallery today. Turned from a wet & green walnut limb log. I knew what I wanted in shape when I turned each one. Finished size 3"x5". Finish seal coats of lacquer, then numerous coats of Deft Tung Oil Finish. Hand bluff only, between coats, they are smooth as glass. I find this finish to be higly scratch & finger print resistance. The lacquer seal coats keeps the walnut as clear as possible. Lots of color here. Watco Oil is a no no for me on these. They were turned on the end on the lathe and hollowing tools with outriggers were used. Piths were sealed with super glue in the bottom before finishing. GT
