Turning Archive 2007
>Here is a yellow heart, rosewood, and maple burl box I did this weekend. The top actually started out to be thicker with more of a curve but the pieces flew out. I routed and glued in the yellow heart. I used yellow glue. Then I went in to eat dinner. When I came back out and started turning some of the pieces flew out and the glue was almost fresh underneath. I've never had that happen. At least 30 minutes had gone buy. I cut that away, rerouted, and reglued using Gorilla glue. Turned it the next morning. I'm guessing the rosewood somehow slowed the glue bond. I've glued lots of yellow heart with narry a problem but haven't worked with rosewood much.
