Coolabah and Robust *PIC*

Ed Moore
>I am almost ready to complete my comments on the Robust lathe that I purchased in September. I am still very pleased with the lathe and would recommend it to anyone who needs a large lathe.

Tonight I have a piece of coolabah (or coolibah) mounted on the Robust, which is serving as a clamp while the glue for a wasteblock is drying. The burlcap is 17" across. It was part of a group buy with the Capital Area Woodturners five or six years ago. I expect it to be dry and hard, but I hope it isn't like turning marble. Don Riggs, of CAW fame, gave me a 12" piece of red mallee burl he got then. It is pictured in its current state in the next post.
