Don't do what I did

>I don't know what I was thinking. Someone gave me some green holly; so I wanted to give him a gift made from it. Would you believe I turned a lidded box? It took about two seconds to split, warp and bulge out into a large upside- down dome at the base. It goes without saying that the lid didn't fit anymore, either! Clearly, a box requires dry wood. I knew that. No harm done, though; some practice, I guess.
