I am working on a number of elm pieces, harder than granite but with a very interesting grain, my problem is: it has many pores and very large, so I would like to know, what you folks do and use?
An idea that came to mind is to use something that fills the pores and colors them in a contrasting color, that would work for other woods as well like ash and red oak, any ideas?
