Hollowing tool advice

Barry Scotton.... on SaltSpring
>I have been using the Don Pencil scorpion, for deep hollowing, vases etc. and have been quite satisfied with the tool. It occurs to me that I may get a smoother cut on end grain and side grain using a ring or hook tool. The oneway termite looks interesting, but you need a router to sharpen the cutter. I dont own a router. The Martel hook tool looks interesting, and is some what cheaper. I would appreciate comments and advice on what you use, are there other alternatives, is there a ring or hook cutter that what fit on my scorpion? Thanks in advance for your help.
