Subject:
Spalted maple *PIC*

Mike Cunningham (Cape May NJ)
>This is a spalted maple natural edge bowl that I just completed. Diameter is 19" and a bit thicker (about 3/4") than I usually turn them. I think that the thickness however doesn't detract from the overall appearance due to it's rather large diameter and overall size, instead it gives a look and feel of being strong, sturdy and substantial but not heavy. One of my outlets requested bowls a bit thicker, so we'll see.

19" diameter sanded through 320 3 coats watco and beall buffed.

Thanks for looking and excuse the photography, I'm working on improving it with some help from Jamie and others.
