Grinding wheel update *LINK*

Tommy Holmes
>I posted the other night questioning whether to get to get a Norton 3x SG or a white aluminum oxide wheel. I bought the Norton 3x SG K hardness from Sharpening Supplies for $45 as suggested by Jerry Hall. I received the wheel and also bought the Oneway balancing system. The wheel does not groove like the I hardness and gives a great edge.
And.......WOW! What a difference the balancing system makes. I would recommend it to anyone. The grinder is perfectly smooth and quiet. I am getting the best edges that I have ever gotten. Thanks to all that posted the other night.......Robo Hippy, I like the idea of the cubic boric nitride (CBN) wheels but I traded my last child for the new lathe last week. Thanks though. :)
