Help with Freeform bowl *PIC*

Brenda
>I am working on my first freeform burl bowl from a piece of white oak burl. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can clean the natural burl tendrils without sanding them? The texture is too yummy to sand smooth but I used a power sprayer to clean the bark off and there are stains from age and weather plus some spots where the power sprayer knocked off some pieces.

I am also unsure as to the best way to seal/finish the bowl. I want a rich gloss and aren't sure if I should use a Tung oil and some other finish or what?? I'd appreciate any input. Thank you!
