Turning Archive 2007
>Imagine my excitement when Cheryl, our cheerful Springtown postmistress, plunked a big box on the counter for me this morning. Lo and behold, it's my turning exchange gift from James Fox. I haven't seen his name very often but I'm here to tell you he is a very talented turner. Have a look at this bowl. The form is perfect, the finish is perfect and the wood is outstandingly lovely. It's about 7" in diameter, 5" tall and 1/8" thick at the rim. It absolutely glows in the sunlight. I hope the piece I turned is as well appreciated by its new owner as this one is to me.
Many thanks to Jim and to everyone who is participating in this event. I can't wait to see the gallery when we're all through.
