Subject:
Buffing questions

Dawn Adams
>Yesterday I was buffing a few bowls and hollow forms and I have a few questions.

First - is there a way to buff small grooves/lines. The area around these would be shiny, but the shine would not carry down into the small recessed sections (1/16" wide)

Second - oops, I was not thinking and used the Tripoli on my Wax buffer. How do I make sure all of it is removed before I use the wax again.

Third - just a funny aside. It has been so dry and cold here that the friction of the buffing wheel was causing me to become electricaly charged and I kept shocking myself when I touched the lathe. A few times I could see a small spark jump from me to the lathe. Maybe I need to ground myself.

Thanks in advance for any input.
