Subject:
Sealing End Grain

C.W.Stivison
>A friend is getting me some chunks of wood and I know the sooner I seal them the better. Do I seal the ends with the checks in them or do I cut them back to the unchecked wood and seal them there. I have a jet mini and can't turn bigger than 10", so do I leave them 24" to 30" long for now or is it better to cut them into 12" chunks and seal those ends. Or would it be best to cut out the pith and seal the halves end grain. I hope this is not to confusing.(My wife says sometimes I can be confusing when I try to explain things.)
Thanks
