New, traveled walnut bowl *PIC*

keith zimmerman, Normal IL
>Here is a new walnut bowl I finally finished. This bowl has traveled half way across the country to get to me. I was given the roughed out bowl by Bill Grumbine at Louisville. He told me the blank came from Ellis's back yard. I bagged it until a few weeks ago when I finish turned it on Terry Quiram's Stubby lathe.

The final size of the bowl is 9 1/4" in diameter and 3" deep. It has 1/4" thick walls with a 3/4" wide rim. I sanded it to 400 with Vince's Blue flex micron sandpaper. There are 3 coats of Minwas tung oil finish, then buffed with tripoli and carnuba wax on my modified Beall buffing system.

Thanks for looking. And thanks to Bill, Ellis, and Terry.
