Dealing with knots/cracks

>Afternoon everybody,

I'm working on a cherry bowl and the blank has a knot going through the bottom to the top. It's tight but there are a couple of cracks in the knot and I want to fill them and make them secure. My immediate thought was some thin CA and sawdust, as I have done this in the past. Problem I've had in the past is the marks left by the CA when I am sanding. It has really muddied the look. Anyone else have this problem and if so, how did you deal with it? Maybe the CA isn't fully curing in my non-heated shop and that's the problem? Your help is appreciated....
