Subject:
Still sticky....

Ed Wujciak
>I've always used wipe-on poly to finish turnings and have had no problems. I've been reading here about using lacquer and decided to try some. Put 2 coats of minwax lacquer on a birch turning and it looked kinda dull so I decided to put some poly over it. Mistake. Waited overnight and the poly is still very sticky. I assume I've inadvertantly violated a cardinal rule but I don't know what it is. Do I wait? Will it dry? Must I remove it? Educate me please....
