Turning Archive 2007
>I have some one who wants some wood earing hoops. About 3/8 inch diameter, and about 1 1/2 inch round (the kind that go through the ear). I can figure out how to turn the outside, and part of the inside (turn cylinder, round over top and bottom of the outside before parting off which covers about 3/4 of it), but how do I finish turn all of the inside (the other 1/4)? Compression chuck? End grain wood cylinder with saw kerfs and hose pipe clamp? Do I turn flat grain, or end grain? Would it be best to laminate up some of my own plywood and then turn? Any suggestions will be welcomed.
