Jerry Glaser wooden sharpening jig

>I have one of those long wooden fixtures for sharpening a gouge with a swept back profile. It's the one that pivots in a hole in a board that sits on the floor. A few years ago I switched to a Wolverine system. I like the Wolverine just fine, but I've been wondering if the old Glaser stick has some advantages. Does anyone still use it? Is there, indeed, any particular advantage to using it?
