Turning Archive 2007

The next step

>Two years ago I started turning with a used 14 inch Delta. A year ago I added a Jet mini for my daughter. After fighting with the Delta for my larger pieces, I am ready for a new (and hopefully my last) lathe. And fortunately my supportive, understanding and patient spouse agrees.

I turn mostly faceplate items, bowls hollow forms, lamps... but I do occasional spindle work as well. I plan to sell the Delta but keep the mini for smaller work.

My budget will not tolerate a Oneway so I am leaning towards a PM3520B. Given a $3000 unbending limit, is there another option I should be considering.

I know this a dangeous question to post but this is the largest tool purchase I have ever made and I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks

Steve
