Natural Edge Boxelder Burl Bowl *PIC*

>It's quickly getting too cold to turn, so I tried taking a few photos... I still don't have an adequate photo set-up, but I keep selling things before I photograph them, so I had to record a few -- sorry about the dull photos.

This is a thin, natural-edged Boxelder burl bowl with a small peg foot. Roughly 8" wide by 7.5" tall, and a little more than 1/16" thick. Watco finish. On this one I went for a band and a small bead around the waist -- I thought of using the woodburning skills I haven't developed yet to make the bead look more like a rope holding it all together -- a rope squeezing a leather band was my idea, but decided to leave well enough alone. The bark was broken off in a few places, so I stripped it all off and burned the edge for interest and contrast. Your comments are always welcome.
