Subject:
bandsaw problem

>I have searched the archives and haven't found much that will help me so I want to survey this group to get help for my problem. I have a fairly new Jet band saw which I purchased mainly to cut turning blanks with. I am having trouble keeping the two small plastic guide blocks that are suppose to keep the blade cutting staight from wearing out too quickly thus letting the blade wander all over the place. I have tried moving them up and moving them back with no difference in the results. I believe the proper place is just behind the teeth but any place I put them they melt quiclkly. Does anyone have a suggestion? Also what is the best blade for cutting blanks? Thanks in advance.
