Subject:
Take off your wedding band

Aage Rendalen
>I always protect my left hand with a thick leather glove when I turn but I have not been in the habit of taking off my wedding band (which is fairly wide). Today an uneven blank tore loose shortly after I starting truing it up and it knocked my hand into the toolrest. My leather glove protected my hand well, with one exception: my wedding band cut into my finger with force. Fortunately I only suffered superficial cuts but a more direct hit could have done real damage.
