Subject:
Hawthorn Question

David Breth
>Last night, my timing being nearly perfect, I acquired some pieces of freshly cut Hawthorn from a family friend. All I know about Hawthorn is that it has a lot of mysticism, etc., associated with it.

It strongly resembles orange osage to me, in the contour of the trunk, and the color and figuring of the wood. I'm wondering if anybody can share some experience they've had with it, or photos of finished items. Looks like a very nice turning wood to me - looking forward to it - another wood I've never turned before.

Thanks -

David B.
