>I just bought an Oliver 20-B patternmakers lathe and am wondering what might be interesting about its capabilities that one does not find on a "regular" lathe?
I've figured out that it has a few obvious differences in features. Its big for one thing, and has a cross slide with specialized cutters. The head can rotate slightly to create tapered columns, too. But I'm not real sure what makes a patternmakers lathe.
And yes, I've been exploring this at the OWWM site and discussion group. ;-))
